The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) and the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC), observed Bunker Hill's softball team get by Hickory by a final score of 7-2.

The Bears (9-1) will now prepare for their bout against Maiden (Maiden, NC). The Blue Devils go into the Western Foothills 4A/5A bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Maiden tipped St. Stephens (Hickory, NC), 7-0, in a non-league bout.
