Alabama High School Softball - Cleburne County gets by Buckhorn
March 5, 2022: New Market, AL 35761 The Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL) softball nipped the host Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL), 1-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Tigers (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Brookwood (Brookwood, AL). The Panthers go into the non-league bout with a 9-15 record. In their last bout, Brookwood was edged by Cleburne County (Heflin, AL), 7-2, in a non-league bout.
The Bucks now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Columbia for a 6A Area 16 bout on Tuesday, March 8. Buckhorn will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
