The Martins Ferry Purple Riders basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Union Local Jets to 58 in the Purple Riders non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Purple Riders now sport a 16-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Malvern for a non-league contest on Friday, March 8. Martins Ferry will meet a Hornets team coming off a 66-50 non-league win over Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Hornets record now stands at 25-0.
