Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Leadership Academy Falcons (Kernersville, NC), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwest Guilford for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 7. Cornerstone Charter will battle a Cowboys squad coming off a 15-1 league win over Page (Greensboro, NC). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Leadership Academy falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC) to battle the Cardinals in a Northwest Piedmont 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
