Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX), 30-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Gunter upgrades its record to 12-7 on the year. The Tigers host Blue Ridge (Blue Ridge, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, March 7. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Blue Ridge won 5-1 in their recent non-league bout against Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Bells Panthers (Bells, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 bout, on Friday, March 7. Howe will attempt to advance on its 3-8 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 15-0 league win over Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX).
