Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI), 48-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Portage Central upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Kalamazoo Central (Kalamazoo, MI) to play the Maroon Giants in a non-league bout on Friday, March 8. The Maroon Giants go into the bout with a record of 12-11. Kalamazoo Central won 56-31 in their recent non-league bout against Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI)
