March 7, 2023: Oakboro, NC 28129 West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Colts confront the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, March 9. West Stanly will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Timberwolves enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over North Stanly (New London, NC).
The Comets now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Forest Hills for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 8. North Stanly will confront a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 1-1.
