Texas High School Soccer - Longview knocks off Pine Tree
March 7, 2023: Longview, TX 75606 Longview Lobos (Longview, TX) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX), 5-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Lobos confront the Whitehouse Wildcats (Whitehouse, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 15 challenge, on Friday, March 10. Longview will attempt to move on its 16-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 7-0 league win over Hallsville (Hallsville, TX).
The Pirates now possess a 8-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Texas for a 5A Region 2 District 15 challenge on Friday, March 10. Pine Tree will confront a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 5-13.
