West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 11-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, West Wilkes upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Blackhawks host Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC) to battle the Granite Bears in a non-league test on Thursday, March 9. The Granite Bears come into the test with a record of 3-2. Mount Airy won 21-0 in their recent non-league test against Avery County (Newland, NC)

With the defeat, Alleghany falls to 1-3 on the season. The Trojans host Watauga (Boone, NC) to battle the Pioneers in a non-league test on Thursday, March 9.
