The Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) baseball trounced the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 12-1 in Friday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Rams play the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a Northwest 1A contest, on Tuesday, April 25. Starmount will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The Cardinals enter the contest with a 11-9 record after their 12-1 non-league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC).

The Trojans now sport a 1-18 record. They take the field next when they host Ashe County for a non-league contest on Monday, April 24. Alleghany will play a Huskies squad coming off a 12-10 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 10-7.
