March 8, 2024: La Feria, TX 78559 The crowd at Friday's league match between the La Feria Lions (La Feria, TX) and the visiting Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX), saw La Feria's softball squad achieve victory over Grulla by a count of 20-5.
The Lions now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hidalgo for a 4A Region IV District 32 match on Monday, March 11. La Feria will face a Pirates squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Hanna (Brownsville, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Grulla falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Gators host Harmony School of Innovation (Brownsville, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Region IV District 32 match on Monday, March 11. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 0-0.
