Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM), 51-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Melrose upgrades its record to 24-4 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Logan (Logan, NM) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 13. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 24-5. Logan won 81-66 in their recent non-league bout against Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM)
