December 14, 2023: Elida, NM 88116 Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Elida Tigers (Elida, NM), 80-26 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Melrose upgrades its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Robertson (Las Vegas, NM) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Robertson won 62-53 in their recent non-league bout against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM)
Next up, the Tigers play the Petersburg Buffaloes (Petersburg, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Elida will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Buffaloes come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 70-24 non-league loss to Sands (Ackerly, TX).
