In Monday's non-league match, the host Wilson Tigers softball team scored a tight 10-9 victory over the Dillon Wildcats.

The Tigers (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Lakewood (Sumter, SC). The Gators enter the AAAA Region 5 game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Lakewood was edged by Clarendon Hall (Summerton, SC), 11-6, in a non-league game.

The Wildcats now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Hannah-Pamplico for a non-league game on Thursday, March 12. Dillon will play a Raiders squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Carvers Bay (Hemingway, SC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.
