New Mexico High School Softball - Rio Rancho nudges Gallup
April 1, 2023: Rio Rancho, NM 87124 Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Rams now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cibola for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Rio Rancho will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Gallup falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bengals travel to Miyamura (Gallup, NM) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Miyamura won 9-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM)
