Louisiana High School Softball - Maurepas bounces Independence
April 1, 2024: Maurepas, LA 70449 The Maurepas Wolves routed the visiting Independence Tigers softball squad by a final score of 16-1 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Wolves (7-10) will now prepare for their battle against East St. John (Reserve, LA). The Wildcats go into the non-league battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, East St. John was routed by Central Lafourche (Raceland, LA), 19-1, in a league battle.
The Tigers now possess a 3-12 record. They play next when they host St. Thomas Aquinas for a 2A District 7 battle on Tuesday, April 2. Independence will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Falcons record now stands at 3-13.
