New York High School Softball - Sandy Creek bounces Thousand Islands
April 1, 2024: Sandy Creek, NY 13145 Sandy Creek Comets (Sandy Creek, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Thousand Islands Vikings (Clayton, NY), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Lewis for a Section 3 Frontier C challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Sandy Creek will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 18-3 league win over Beaver River (Beaver Falls, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Thousand Islands falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Beaver River (Beaver Falls, NY) to battle the Beavers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Beavers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Beaver River lost 18-3 in their recent league challenge against South Lewis (Turin, NY)
