Oregon High School Softball - Yamhill-Carlton bounces Taft
April 10, 2024: Yamhill, OR 97148 Yamhill-Carlton Tigers (Yamhill, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), 14-0 in a league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they host St. Helens for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. Yamhill-Carlton will face a Lions squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Astoria (Astoria, OR). The Lions record now stands at 11-1.
With the loss, Taft falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Scio (Scio, OR) to clash with the Loggers in a 3A-SD2 Special District 2 game on Thursday, April 11. The Loggers come into the game with a record of 9-1. Scio won 12-2 in their recent league game against Amity (Amity, OR)
