The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) and the visiting Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV), saw Greenbrier East's baseball team beat Summers County by a margin of 10-0.

The Spartans (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Coal City, WV). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Independence was overwhelmed by St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 11-6, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Bobcats face the Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV) in a Coalfield AA battle, on Friday, April 11. Summers County will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 2-3 record after their 7-4 league loss to Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV).
