In Saturday's non-league game, the host Dyer County Choctaws baseball team scored a close 9-5 win over the Covington Chargers.

The Choctaws (15-8) will now prepare for their game against Obion County (Troy, TN). The Rebels go into the 3A District 13 game with a 6-15 record. In their last game, Obion County was overwhelmed by Trinity Christian Academy (Jackson, TN), 9-7, in a non-league game.

Next, the Chargers play the Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN) in a 3A District 15 game, on Monday, April 13. Covington will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Cardinals go into the game with a 11-9 record after their 15-2 non-league win over Fayette Academy (Somerville, TN).
