The Payson Lions softball team scored 11 runs and held the host Emery Spartans to 6 in the Lions non-league win on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gunnison Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 11. Payson will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 12-1 league win over North Sevier (Salina, UT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-3.
