The Payson Lions softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Manti Templars to 7 in the Lions non-league win on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gunnison Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 11. Payson will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 12-1 league win over North Sevier (Salina, UT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Manti moves to 8-10 on the season. The Templars travel to Salem Hills (Salem, UT) to confront the Skyhawks in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 11.
