West Virginia High School Softball - Nicholas County bounces Clay County
April 12, 2022: Summersville, WV 26651 The Nicholas County Grizzlies routed the visiting Clay County Panthers softball squad by a final score of 9-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Grizzlies (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Raiders go into the Coalfield AA battle with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, Liberty notched a victory over Van (Van, WV), 12-2, in a non-league battle.
The Panthers now possess a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Harrison for a Little Kanawha battle on Thursday, April 14. Clay County will meet a Hawks squad coming off a 13-3 league win over Tygarts Valley (Mill Creek, WV). The Hawks record now stands at 5-9.
