The Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA) baseball trounced the visiting Baldwin Highlanders (Pittsburgh, PA), 10-0 in Thursday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 contest, on Monday, April 17. Hempfield Area will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Big Macs enter the contest with a 7-2 record after their 8-1 league win over Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA).
