The Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA) baseball the visiting Portola Tigers (Portola, CA), 8-6 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Volcanoes now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Los Molinos for a Five Star challenge on Friday, April 17. Chester will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-0 league win over Burney (Burney, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-5.

With the defeat, Portola drops to 5-11 on the year. The Tigers host Hamilton (Hamilton City, CA) to clash with the Braves in a Mid-Valley challenge on Friday, April 17. The Braves go into the challenge with a record of 9-8. Hamilton lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Durham (Durham, CA)
