The Loyalton Grizzlies (Loyalton, CA) baseball trounced the host Chester Volcanoes (Chester, CA), 14-3 in Monday's non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tulelake for a Evergreen challenge on Thursday, April 30. Loyalton will clash with a Honkers team coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Lost River (Merrill, OR). The Honkers record now stands at 4-7.

With the defeat, Chester drops to 5-7 on the year. The Volcanoes host Redding Christian (Palo Cedro, CA) to face the Lions in a Five Star battle on Thursday, April 30. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 7-9. Redding Christian lost 3-2 in their recent league battle against Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA)
