Illinois High School Soccer - Mt. Zion knocks off Charleston
April 15, 2025: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) and the visiting Charleston Trojans (Charleston, IL), saw Mt. Zion's soccer squad triumph over Charleston by a count of 9-0.
The Braves (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Chargers enter the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Centennial ran past Danville (Danville, IL), 7-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Trojans confront the Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL) in a Apollo battle, on Thursday, April 17. Charleston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Tornadoes enter the battle with a 3-7 record after their 7-0 league loss to Mattoon (Mattoon, IL).
