The Polk County Wolverines baseball team (Columbus, NC), was overwhelmed 6-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the visiting North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC)

The Knights now hold a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host R-S Central for a non-league outing on Wednesday, April 17. North Henderson will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 10-0 league win over Patton (Morganton, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 16-0.

Next, the Wolverines confront the East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, April 17. Polk County will attempt to advance on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 3-12 record after their 4-3 league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).
