The St. Rita Mustangs baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings to 4 in the Mustangs non-league win on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now own a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Lane Tech for a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. St. Rita will play a Champions team coming off a 11-1 league win over Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Champions record now stands at 10-6.

With the defeat, Homewood-Flossmoor drops to 7-8 on the year. The Vikings travel to Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL) to play the Warriors in a Southwest Suburban test on Thursday, April 17. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 11-1. Lincoln-Way West lost 8-7 in their recent league test against Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL)
