The Steele Comets overwhelmed the host Midview Middies softball squad by a count of 6-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Comets meet the North Ridgeville Rangers (North Ridgeville, OH) in a Southwestern challenge, on Friday, April 17. Steele will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Rangers go into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 10-0 league win over Avon Lake (Avon Lake, OH).

The Middies (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Avon Lake (Avon Lake, OH). The Shoremen go into the Southwestern challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Avon Lake held off Vermilion (Vermilion, OH), 7-2, in a non-league challenge.
