The Tohatchi Cougars overwhelmed the host Thoreau Hawks softball squad by a count of 12-4 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Chinle Wildcats (Chinle, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 18. Tohatchi will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 20-1 non-league loss to Snowflake (Snowflake, AZ).

The Hawks (3-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Northwest (Shiprock, NM). The Falcons go into the non-league challenge with a 1-11 record. In their last challenge, Northwest was routed by Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM), 15-0, in a league match.
