In Thursday's league test, the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) softball squad overwhelmed the host Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), by a tally of 21-5.

Next, the Cougars meet the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a 3A District 1 test, on Thursday, April 30. Tohatchi will attempt to advance on its 10-15 season record. The Skyhawks go into the test with a 3-17 record after their 22-11 league loss to Zuni (Zuni, NM).
