The Giles Spartans softball team scored 17 runs and held the host Craig County Rockets to 1 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now possess a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Auburn for a Mountain Empire battle on Tuesday, April 22. Giles will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-3.
