Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) supporters left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA), 1-0 in a league game.

With the triumph, Giles improves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Spartans travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire game on Friday, May 9.
