Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), 3-2 in a league game.

With the triumph, Fort Chiswell improves its record to 13-5 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Narrows (Narrows, VA) to play the Green Waves in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 13. The Green Waves enter the game with a record of 2-11.

The Spartans now hold a 12-6 record. They play next when they host Craig County for a non-league game on Monday, May 12. Giles will play a Rockets squad coming off a 17-14 league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA). The Rockets record now stands at 2-6.
