Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH), 9-4 in a league game.

With the triumph, Shelby improves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Whippets travel to Clyde (Clyde, OH) to play the Fliers in a non-league game on Monday, April 21. The Fliers enter the game with a record of 12-4. Clyde won 15-2 in their recent league game against Columbian (Tiffin, OH)

The Fighting Scots now hold a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Galion for a Mid Ohio Athletic game on Tuesday, April 22.
