The Sun Valley Spartans lacrosse squad (Monroe, NC), was overwhelmed 18-5 in Thursday's league contest with the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC)

Coming up next, the Mavericks confront the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a Southern Carolina/Rocky River contest, on Monday, April 22. Marvin Ridge will attempt to advance on its 12-6 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 8-6 record after their 14-6 league win over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).

The Spartans now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a non-league test on Friday, April 19. Sun Valley will face a Sabres squad coming off a 10-8 league win over Providence (Charlotte, NC). The Sabres record now stands at 9-7.
