April 19, 2024: Lenoir, NC 28645 The Hibriten Panthers baseball team (Lenoir, NC), was overwhelmed 6-0 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC)
The Pioneers now hold a 11-4 record. They take the field next when they host Davie for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 20. Watauga will face a War Eagles team coming off a 5-3 league win over R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC). The War Eagles record now stands at 11-7.
Next, the Panthers face the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A outing, on Tuesday, April 23. Hibriten will attempt to advance on its 12-8 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 8-11 record after their 4-2 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC).
