Coaches Game Summary

The visiting Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits scored early and often as they put the Tarbabes of Compton on ice with a 19-0 win. To help support the rout, the 'Babes' committed a season high 10 errors to add to their league leading total of 20 after only three games in the books. Last season, Compton lead the league with 60 errors in only 12 games. Misplayed and dropped balls by senior outfielder, Devante Guidry, accounted for half of the 'Babes' errors. Despite the errors, Compton also had lackluster hitting for the third consecutive game (all losses) by getting only three base hits. Poly coach, Toby Hess, had his players jumping on seemingly every pitch that Compton ace, Andy Rosales, threw up to the plate. Compton coach, John Thompson, stressed that there would be serious workouts during spring break to help his team get back on track. Next up for Compton is the always tough Long Beach Wilson Bruins, led by All-American, Chris Betts on April 14th at CHS.
