The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) and the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), saw First Flight's baseball team gain a win over Perquimans by a tally of 6-2.

The Nighthawks (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC). The Bears enter the Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Hertford County was overwhelmed by First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC), 13-3, in a league battle.

Next, the Pirates face the Martin County Gators (Williamston, NC) in a Four Rivers 1A battle, on Tuesday, April 8. Perquimans will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Gators enter the battle with a 15-1 record after their 14-1 league win over Bertie (Windsor, NC).
