The Hempfield Area Spartans baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Norwin Knights to 2 in the Spartans league win on Wednesday.

The Spartans now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Mt. Lebanon for a WPIAL 6A 2 test on Monday, April 7. Hempfield Area will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Pine-Richland (Gibsonia, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-6.

With the defeat, Norwin drops to 3-5 on the year. The Knights travel to Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA) to play the Big Macs in a WPIAL 6A 2 test on Monday, April 7.
