The Wirt County Tigers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting St. Joseph Central Irish to 4 in the Tigers non-league win on Wednesday.

The Tigers now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Harrison for a Little Kanawha test on Saturday, April 5. Wirt County will play a Hawks team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Hawks record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, St. Joseph Central drops to 6-2 on the year. The Irish host Poca (Poca, WV) to play the The Dots in a non-league test on Saturday, April 5. The The Dots go into the test with a record of 1-5. Poca lost 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Nitro (Nitro, WV)
