In Wednesday's league bout, the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Waskom Wildcats (Waskom, TX), by a tally of 11-1.

Next up, the Yellowjackets encounter the Carlisle Indians (Price, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, April 7. Elysian Fields will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 18-6 league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).

With the defeat, Waskom falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Ore City (Ore City, TX) to face the Rebels in a 2A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, April 7.
