The Orland Trojans edged the host Corning Cardinals softball squad by a count of 16-15 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Trojans play the Live Oak Lions (Live Oak, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, April 14. Orland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 20-1 non-league loss to Las Plumas (Oroville, CA).

The Cardinals (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Oroville (Oroville, CA). The Tigers come into the Westside League battle with a 3-12 record. In their last battle, Oroville was tipped by Gridley (Gridley, CA), 14-4, in a league battle.
