The Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) softball overwhelmed the host Hickory Grove Christian Lions (Charlotte, NC), 14-4 in Thursday's league test.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Calvary Day School Cougars (Winston-Salem, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, April 9. Gaston Christian will attempt to advance on its 9-2 season record.

The Lions (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Union Prep Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The UPA go into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Union Prep Academy prevailed over Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC), 11-1, in a non-league test.
