The Wayne County War EaglesLady War Eagles softball squad (Waynesboro, MS), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's league contest with the host Vancleave Bulldogs (Vancleave, MS)

With the triumph, Vancleave improves its record to 12-12 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Purvis (Purvis, MS) to face the Tornadoes in a 5A Region 4 contest on Tuesday, April 7. The Tornadoes enter the contest with a record of 12-4. Purvis won 6-5 in their recent league bout against Stone (Wiggins, MS)

In their next game, the War EaglesLady War Eagles battle the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 4.
