April 20, 2022: Yorktown, VA 23692 In Wednesday's league outing, the host Grafton Clippers softball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Smithfield Packers.
Coming up next, the Clippers encounter the Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) in a Bay Rivers outing, on Friday, April 22. Grafton will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Islanders enter the outing with a 6-1 record after their 5-1 league win over Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA).
The Packers (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against New Kent (New Kent, VA). The Trojans enter the Bay Rivers outing with a 9-0 record. In their last outing, New Kent tipped Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA), 10-2, in a league outing.
