Virginia High School Softball - Grafton bounces Smithfield
May 18, 2022: Smithfield, VA 23430 The Grafton Clippers routed the host Smithfield Packers softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Clippers (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Poquoson (Poquoson, VA). The Islanders go into the Bay Rivers battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Poquoson was routed by Warhill (Williamsburg, VA), 2-1, in a league battle.
The Packers now sport a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to York for a Bay Rivers battle on Thursday, May 19. Smithfield will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 7-7.
