April 20, 2023: Hillsville, VA 24343 The Alleghany Mountaineers soccer team (Covington, VA), was overwhelmed 5-0 in Thursday's league outing with the host Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA)
With the win, Carroll County advances its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Galax (Galax, VA) to play the Maroon Tide in a non-league outing on Monday, April 24. The Maroon Tide go into the outing with a record of 7-0.
In their next game, the Mountaineers play the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) in a Three Rivers outing, on Monday, April 24. Alleghany will attempt to advance on its 2-6 season record. The Knights go into the outing with a 7-2 record after their 6-0 league loss to Radford (Radford, VA).
