Virginia High School Soccer - Carroll County knocks off Alleghany
May 8, 2023: Covington, VA 24426 The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) soccer bounced the host Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), 7-2 in Monday's league bout.
With the victory, Carroll County moves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Galax (Galax, VA) to confront the Maroon Tide in a non-league bout on Wednesday, May 10. The Maroon Tide enter the bout with a record of 13-0. Galax won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Giles (Pearisburg, VA)
In their next game, the Mountaineers confront the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, May 10. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 2-12 season record. The Chargers enter the bout with a 7-3 record after their 13-0 league win over Craig County (New Castle, VA).
